Commissions
Although you may not consider yourself a ‘collector’ in the traditional sense, you do consider yourself an art lover. And while you appreciate many kinds of creative expression, the art you’re most drawn to is classic and timeless. It’s artwork that displays attention to detail and dedication to artistry.
Hi, I’m Agnes and that’s the kind of art I create. I embrace the slow pleasure of creating art, one brushstroke at a time. I work traditionally with oil paints and love realism and surrealism. The subjects I am asked often to be painted are people and pets. I also love the challenge of painting your creative ideas and bringing them to life on canvas. .
I invite you to learn more about me, my resume, and my work.

“My boys and I chose a photograph that we loved and sent it to Agnes. We exchanged emails where she asked about my wife’s favourite colours, her hobbies, her personality, her profession and our family. The portrait turned out beautifully. It captures Shannon completely.”
— Ian, Shannon, David, Jack & Owen
Are you are interested in a commissioned oil painting?
The process is simple with 3 easy steps. I would be happy to answer any questions you may have along the way.
Step 1. Choose good quality photo(s) and send me an email with your photo. After viewing your photo I can help you decide the painting technique (see below) and canvas size that will best suit your commission painting.
- Self - is a traditional portrait designed to portray the character of the individual.
- Lifestyle - is a painting designed to capture an individual(s) in their environment.
- Surreal - is a painting designed to blur the boundaries of reality and fantasy, showing things that may not be possible in everyday life.
- Pet / Animal - a painting that gives tribute to an animal or a loving pet.
Below are examples of each category.
Step 2. Choose the size of the canvas. Generally speaking, the price of an oil painting is calculated based on the size of the canvas and complexity of the subject.
Step 3. To get started I ask for a 50% deposit.
Please note that an oil painting (including drying time) can take up to 3 months from start to finish.
All paintings are professionally and securely wrapped for its safe arrival.
Your commissioned oil painting is ‘one of a kind’ and what better way to express it than with a Certificate of Authenticity. Each Certificate of Authenticity comes with a Secure QR code identifying the artist and her work, and the buyer with authenticity.
