BIOGRAPHY

Artist Statement
My artwork goes beyond the obvious and reaches into the depths of the unspoken. Spirituality is the creative energy that gives life to each new painting. I research my main subject, live it, and feel it, until I perceive its very essence from my own life experiences. The painting, in turn, becomes a living experience of my life.

I studied Fine Arts at the University of Manitoba, mentored with artist Joyce Anderson, and trained with the Academy of Realistic Art in Toronto, Ontario. My paintings have been juried in Regional and International competitions where I have received awards. To date, I have had two successful solo exhibitions. My work is part of corporate and private collections throughout Canada, the United States, the Netherlands and Denmark.
